nah, he is good there, been without a home since he has outgrown his previous home a year or 2 ago. Now if the stick is moved or knocked down he tries to escape.
When he had a "home" he spent most of the time cruising the tank anyway. But there is no point having a fish that is hiding all the time just creating waste! Don't get me wrong i love this fire eel, one of the toughest fish i have ever had and one of the oldest fish in my colloection.. BUt i do not want to clutter my tank, it would take a big home for him. With rays it is hard to have one, they tear everything up. Like i said he seems to be fine. The aro problem may have possibly been from the dats, but i do know that the eel has chased around my 10" it and my 6" it quite a bit lately. I just figured that the aro is the same gbody shape and the eel must have got him???
