What it used to look like....

** I took out some driftwood, he's getting alot bigger and needs more room, and so far he's loving every minute of it!
I added just one Y shaped piece that I had laying around and also added a brazilian sword plant which got planted into a clay pot.
Also added a dual light fixture. One side I have my led bulb and on the other side of the fixture is my 60w grow light/daytime light for the plants. Combining the 2 bulbs really makes a big difference in light in my tank and it looks really good. I can also change different led color (RGB, etc) of the one light for a certain time of day and still have my 60w light on as well...

- I guess you can consider it a low-tech planted tank?....

yeah, very nice sword

Nice tank! Is that a pothos plant hanging in the second pic on the left? If it is, you should take some of the plants out of the dirt and put the roots directly into the water! Helps reduce No3... ask F1-Vet!! I'll post you a pic of my 150 with it... give me a sec.

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Would the plant be half in water half out of the water if I'm not mistaken?
Any where I could get a plastic pot for the sides/back of the tank to let it grow?

( oh and yes it is a pathos )

yeah it looks stunning. Im sure the fh loves the extra space. Im guessing just the roots would be submerged ^

Here it is. Yeah the leaves are out of the water. Only the roots are submerged.

Hm, I definatley might clip off some of the plant and try this! Thanks!

Don't even clip em. Dig up one or two, rinse the roots off under some tap water and then stick em in. I find they grab the nutrients quicker than clippings that have to root first.
