Very nice!
Do you plan on keeping it freshwater its entire life or switching back to salt? Ive been curious about these for quite some time ive seen hybrids thrive in fw but havent heared of an aquariast trying srait striper in fresh. Love the fish btw one of my favorite natives by far
Not only that, many never see saltwater. All the lakes along the Colorado River have stripers and they are bred and born in freshwater.I'm going to keep her in fresh as long as I have her. I haven't noticed a difference of personality now that she's in fresh. If anything, she might even be more active. Stripers are an anadromous species as a lot of you may know and is not uncommon for them to get trapped in freshwater for the rest of their lives.
biggest I've seen was a 48 pounder...thing was crazy big.... now I know this is a stretch but would you ever consider putting the striper with your cichla while the size is close?

Well done Boosten, I've always thought about doing a tank with stripers just never done it. They aren't as hardy as their largemouth/smallmouth cousins.
