yes, they are both spotted gars. i just bought them a month ago.

diet is shrimp (or other tiny fish i find in the market).

What makes you think they are spotteds though rather than Florida?

That one (on the right in the 1st pic) has a different pattern for a FL/Sp, looks very cool. Nice gars. Do they bother the tinfoils at all (those are tinfoil barbs in there right?).

good question...i dont really know the difference between spotteds and floridas, and i dont know where the gars are sourced -- im in the philippines...maybe you can ID them for me?

yes, you're right -- it doesnt have that stripe across its eyes, and spots are not very distinct

they dont bother the tinfoils at all -- too fast for them i guess
