That's a male if you ask me. A nice looking one at that. Seems to have a good growth rate as well.

The picture (and the ones to come) are from just after the weekly water-change. Hence the Jag is recovering from the stress.

Normally, the line of spots between the dorsal fin and the central line (of spots) is also just as dark as the central line (of spots).

Also can someone please confirm if this is a male or a female?

I posted this question on a different thread (on MFK) and I was told this is "100% female".. Now, I am getting conflicting opinions. :S

Please advise on what are the markers to sex Jags.

Any tips on how to capture the blue/purple sheen on this fish in a picture? (I am using a 13.6 MP Sony Cyber-Shot. I don't have a SLR or DSLR.)
