yep i once had a red get spooked and swim right up against my hand. Scared the crap outta' me had to stare at my hand for 5 minutes to make sure all my fingers were still there lol

i still don't have a divider and my piranhas barely run away anymore when i do maintenance  so i have to be very cautious. luckily one hasen't actualy gone after my hand yet

Darwin used to back into a corner and open his mouth and follow the movements of my hand. He never made a move, but it was clear that my hand was not welcome in his corner.

He used to snap his teeth and chase my wife along the glass when she walked by....

I'm starting to think he might have been on to something :irked:

what a smart fish and you had to gave him up. :banhim::banhim::banhim::banhim:

I don't really fear for my pygos, at least not right now as they are still small. but they usually stay at the other side of the tank when I work on my tank but I still keep an eye on them just in case one of them went crazy. as for my rhom, that's a totally different story. I rarely put my hand in there unless I NEED too and I constantly keep my eye on it.
they are usually scared of us more than we scared of them but they all have the potential of doing some serious damage, so CAUTION is required at all times.

thanks sir for the oppinions im cautious on my reds wen it comes to cleaning the tank coz their original owner said that the specimens are very aggressive they take in mind that all the things that dipped on their tank was their food:( even the original owner takes a serious wound on the reds..sir jp that was a serious injury from ur rhom

well lucky enough that those weren't my hands and my rhom has been leaving my hands alone but just to show what they are capable of.
it's good to hear that the reds aren't too skittish, may we have some feeding video when you get your camera back?

Ewwww

Wound pics make me cringe!

Nice looking tank. My RBP tank looks almost EXACTLY like it. White substrate, same sort of rocks. So I approve! Maybe a few more plants?

i need more driftwoods and some sort of java ferns and java moss for the flooring..and more rocks imma make a miniature cave made by rocks

make sure the rocks you put in the tank won't alter the pH level of your water.

Thanks for the warning for the wound pics. Almost lost my breakfest and i'm not even queezy like that. lol, just wasn't at all expecting it.

Pics like that is exactly why i recommend a divider anytime you're doing some tank work.
