great pattern on this fish for sure. unfortunately the head slope Michael is referring to is actually a sign of obesity, as captive specimens, particularly FL gars seem to be very prone to this condition (has been confirmed by dissections of wild vs. captives as well). don't feed him too much!--

this is something i pointed out to him last time he posted pics of this gar. i warned him it was becomeing obese, and he accknowledged it and hopefully started to address it. unfortunatly he is now banned so who knows how it will be

I dont think this is the gar you pointed out. The one you pointed out was his 12" one
