Love the jungle look... thats how I want my tank to look with my PBASS but my freakin pleco keeps tearing up the plants...

go for really big plants and at least 3" of substrate and you will be fine if you give the plants a week or two to spread their roots. I had a 2 foot common plec in there for a while and my plants survived him.
