Lots of burm owners keep thier snakes on birds alone. I fed a Burm a chicken one time and swore I would never feed one of my snakes fowl again. Trust me when I say that you will not like what comes out of the other end of your snake after it eats a bird. LOL!!!

Nice looking burm...cozy-looking enclosure too. Its nice to see a burm not crammed into a 55 gal tank once in a while...
As far as feeding options, have you considered still-born piglets? I know it sounds horrible, but there is a pig farm local to here which always had a ton of them in their freezer awaiting disposal, and we would periodically go pick up a bunch of them to feed large burms and boas. Might be worth a shot to call around?

Might be an idea to get someone to show you how to euthanise the rats properly too..beating them over the head can't be the quickest way!
I buy frozen rats its easier IMO to keep a bunch in the freezer then have to go and pay close to $10 a piece for jumbo live rats p;us the frozens are only $2

Can't see it being cheapest way for one snake..if he had a huge collection or breeds lots of snakes then yes it would be.
