they are about to lay eggs again.

should I make a effort to harvest these this time? because i'm thinking of pulling the pair and trying them with other potential mates. since she is around 10yrs old i'd like to try to get another breeding with another male out of her.

when they bred previously did you get any fry if yes, do you have any pics of the fry

yeah that would be a nice idea to try and get her to breed with some other kinda males too
good luck

He's actually got a lot of really nice blue! I retract my post about him looking a bit drab!

i want some of his babies :)

im sure they are absolutely beautiful fry.

ive got a flowerhorn that doesnt have alot of red in it, but not sure what to breed it with to get more red, i dont like the parrot's shape so i didnt really want to breed it wiht a parrot, but im starting to think its going to have to happen.

that would be one extreme hybrid
wish i lived close by i would have a few more hybrids
would love to get a few fry from you

it seems my JK FHs have paired up
the female was smaller than the male when i got her
but she seems to have outgrown the male by nearly one and half inch is it normal
they are currently in the 220 with a few other CA/SA chiclids, will be moving them to a 110(uk)g tank and hope they breed

and do check this out

thanx matt. if you cross to a parrot not all the fry will have parrot looks. the reason i decieded to try this parrot with him, was because he was so big, and i've never had any problems pair her to anyone. so i figured i'd give them a shot.
