thanks :)

bottom fish are composed of a synodontis ocellifer and various polypterus

close up setting as in macro?
it works great on still things, but really lacks when the object is moving.

I dont know about your camera, but I just use close-up on all my fish pics, when I cant get good pics I just take a short vid, Haha.

Recently got a black aro here in toronto (very hard to come by), and decided to try and see if it would mix nicely with my red. Been a few days now and there is no aggression between the two! My flagtail has been the one who gets bullied.
When I had the black alone, it was a very picky eater and didn't eat much at all. Now that it sees the red munching on superworms and shrimp, it simply follows the leader and starts eating as well. I'm thinking the black likes the company of another aro whereas the red doesn't mind too much at all.
If things continue to be peaceful in the next coming weeks/months, I'm gonna splurge on a new setup.
My red has gained in girth a LOT, if some of you recall my previous thread when I first got it. Red colour has become more intense in the fins and it's wearing deep red lipstick. Cheeks are growing more orangy/red everyday. Scales developing nice shine as well.
I'll update the status in the coming weeks.
Sorry for the crappy pics...they were from the cell phone.

You got a nice fish there. Really beautiful super red. Broadboday, nice spoon head and big tail. Give it some time for the color to develop. If you can lower the pH to about 6.5-6.8. It will bring out the color faster.

allways good to know :naughty:

thanks castbug for the tip! (PM replied by the way)

any info on safe and easy way of lowering pH in an aro tank?
