Update on Jack's & Texas - Need Advice on My Huge Bully!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the kind words about my discus. I need to get some up to date photo's. I however only have a laptop card for internet at my house and it take forever to load pics. So I don't get around to doing it very often. I have several new fish and have been doing a lot of work on my tanks so I'll try to get some pics in the photo lounge of my tanks and fish in the next couple of weeks. Work has been crazy and I've had very little time. I'm out of town currently for work so it will probably be weekend after next.

Texas cichlids are funny like that. They will be fine and then just decide to turn on the weakest fish. I suspect once you remove the divider they will act fine for a little bit then the texas will go right back to it's old tricks. I would be shocked if it doesn't evenually start doing the same thing to the other JD it currently likes. Worst case you end up with a divided tank with JD's on one side and a texas and munba on the other. I know dividers look ugly, but keeping aggressive fish long term often requires it.

No Freaking Way!!!! They're all my babies....I just couldn't. Plus, it's rare to find people who know how to take care of these guys, especially when they're this big. Most people don't want to spend the money.......It costs a ton just to feed them, not to mention everything else to keep the tank going. Anyway, thanks for the opinion but no. :(

Who would let one of their "babies" get tortured and eventually killed?
