Update ON Loco (no pictures)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i rescued two oscars that had hole in the head. It was not the craters but they did have fairly large pits. IT has cleared up real good over the past 4-5 months. Only one spot each and they are not open anymore either. I cleared it up by doing good water changes (30 percent twice a week), good diet (shrimp, krill, and hikari gold) and also added in weak doses of melafix week on week off schedule. very good success. We understand that your fish has HITH, it is ok to post a pic of him. We dont care if he has it. We are happy its getting better, by posting pics of it as it goes away it would be a great learning tool for someone who rescues or has a fish with it in the future. IT would show it healing and describe what you did , how long it took to heal , maybe how the fish got it etc.. HITH is a very serious disease and pics can be helpful tool. It can even make people who might have been lax on the cleaning of their tanks clean the tank better as a way to prevent what happened to your poor fish. See what i mean ? So go ahead and post a pic, i posted pics of my rescue oscars with their holes and all.
