Thanks, the MM has just shed her first sting, all very exciting!
Hi Toby.
I have a collection of stingers, there must be over 200,they start from 1 inch and go upto 5 inches, the five inch ones were from a pair of P25 Otorongo Jags i had many years ago.....always look out for them because if they get lost in the substrate they present a danger to the ray,i lost a P12 Henlei a long time ago that managed to impale itself on a discarded spine, unfortunately it was in the abdomen and i sadly lost it.This is one good reason to go bare bottom tank.....i just dont like it!

Cool collection, do you display them at all? I.e. Have you got them in a box or a display? I have been thinking of getting something to keep them in.

Thanks for the heads up on the stings in the substrate.

Would be good to see a pic of your five incher.......that sounds very dodgy and will probably end up in some odd google search.

Hi Toby.
My first ever post was to show off my stinger collection, someone was asking to if anyone had kept theirs, mine are in a box some where now but you can see them excluding the new ones of course if you can find my first ever post.....i wouldnt know where to look!..lol!......
Five incher?ha ha ha!!..theres no way im showing that off on this forum!! you know what they say about small guys with big cars...well the same could apply to "big" ray collections..lol!!

As you can see from the start of this Thread..I got my Rays in April 2010, it is now the End of Jan 2011 and the female Motoro pup has pretty much caught up the Male Pearl who is about 3 years old.

He has started to hold her disc in his mouth and drag her about in the tank (gently) but he has left a few bruises.
