Still unacceptable. What exactly possessed you to flush a fish? A living one at that? BGK aren't exactly cheap, and if it was big enough to kill fish it would be worth more. Plus they are beautiful, graceful fish. Think things through a little next time, cuz that is seriously irresponsible like J said. If you have kids I hope you don't use the same discipline with them, could clog the toilet.

imo, flushing a live fish is incredibly irresponsible and cruel. if you have to "put it down" there are much better ways of doing it quickly and humanely. however in a case like this there is no need to kill the fish. it isn't the fish's fault...the bgk is only acting on its naturaly instincts. like Taz2478 I'm sure there are plenty of lfs within a decent driving distance of you that would have taken the bgk from you. you might have been able to get a little store credit to put towards a new, more appropriate tankmate for your current fish.

GUYs! i onl;y posted this and lefrt it for a few days, just to see what people on here are really like, coz ive got the impression that local people in my area, dont give two ****s.. about fish.

my BGK if fine. he really did attack my catfish, but hes safely in solitary confinement in my hospital tank.

im glad of the responses ive had on here, i just wanted to name and shame some people who dont care...

I think you did what I can see myself doing. I want a happy tank, without any one fish killing or maming others. Not too long ago I had a medium sized oscar that was attacking everying I had, and I got tired of it. I did not want to flush a $10 fish down the toilet however. I dont like flushing money down or thowing it out the window, so I threw it out the back door to my dog! LOL

It was a $10 snack! It was verry gratifing to see that fish get what it deserved.

Pay no attention to them, you just have to watch what some of these Animal Rites folks, they tend to dive off the deep end.

listen you .. i only put that on my post to root out people like you, i AM an animal rights person.. borderlining one of those people who would use violence if they saw an animal been injured.. you sicken me!!
