I cycled my tank for a week, and just couldn't wait anymore. I know I was supposed to wait three to four weeks, but couldn't resist. Right now there is a grass pike, he is about 4 inches. Once he gets bigger I plan to get a peacock bass.

nice set-up. that pike looks good too. pikes are strong so you should be fine W/the cycle.

Nice grass pickerel. But to tell you the truth you should have atleast gotten some seeded material before putting him in there. It will be a real shame if you lose him since there aren't that many out there. But stay away from putting a bass with him. I have had bad experiences with bass/pickerel combos...

Thats a good size for tank not to big not to small , for a living room I mean .I know some one is thinking you can never have to big of a tank.

Like filter media or gravel or something that already has an established bacteria colony. Like the filter pad from another tank would work.

looks great i love the pot in the middle

he had some what of seeded material. he put a powerhead and sponge from his other tank, but i guess we can only wait and see. is the pike still eatin good?

Does anyone know if they are top or bottom dwelling fish? Cause at first he was a top dweller, now he prefers the bottom. Just curious.
