Great looking hybrids but your overfeeding them. A third of that every other day is all they need. Those feeders have very poor nutritional qualities. Mix it up with market shrimp...tuna meat....chicken hearts....and catfish nuggets.

At such a young age and small size it's normal for them to look overfed but I wouldn't go so far as to say that less is more for a young RTCXTSN as they do process their food very quickly and are using ALOT of energy for growing, so feeding till they are pot bellied as someone called it isn't horrible on them and ensures that they have enough food to last and to help with the growing process. That Said it doesn't mean that they should look like this for every meal simply that they will be able to handle this from time to time. Once they hit 12" it gets harder on them to look this way and you should really try to keep them with the "plump" not Fat look LOL

Couldn't Agree more! Although it's nice to be able to give them a prey that they can "hunt" from time to time it really isn't needed and your just asking for problems with parasites and other types of issues.

Enjoy them as they really are great lookin Cats :)

his belly is gone in a day!! as for feeders they were suposed to be for my 6 inch TSN but the little bugger eat a few!!! They normally eat blood worms and hikaria carnivor sinking pellets will try shrimp when they get a little bigger! There are ways to make feeders not as bad as buying strait from a petstore I keep mine in a 46 gal rubbermaid and feed them for two weeks on high grade diet I got the idea from when i kept lizards and would gut load the crickets for better nutrtion so I do the same with goldfish and by keeping them for a few weeks then I can decide if they are healthy enough to be fed or given to my snapping turtle!!
thaks P.N:D
