Very nice sliders duke. They do love to pile up on the best basking spots, the painteds would do the same up north, just stacks of them. Only other real basking types in CT were spotteds and that was a rare sight indeed.

Liz that sounds good, if they can get natural sunlight out with you that far outweighs what a bulb can give. You should continue to see very good growth throughout this first year, looks like they're a bit over a month old and you can really see the size difference. Please keep the updates coming :)

It always amazes me that we keep specimens from other peoples back yards. Whether it be fish, turtles, etc. The grass is always greener on the other side I guess.:)

Too true. When I was younger I used to keep some anoles, and now here I am in FL and they're everywhere. It hasn't gotten old though, I still get excited when I see a lizard running around wild.
