Update On My Corals

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Forgot this yesterday - #3 I believe is an Orange Atlanic Tree Sponge. This is a "Catch 22" invert. They need high water flow to stop algae from clogging them up but they will die if exposed to air - even micro bubbles. They are extreme filter feeders that like a constant supply of dissolved protiens - lighting is a non-issue.

I'm gonna goggle the sponge now, I should then adjust the flow to face directly towards it.

Also does anyone know why my mushroom have been closed for a day now? Is it natural for them to be close at some times?...one of the mushroom seems to have not open in a few days.

All the other corals look great still

Mushrooms can close if they are "settling in" for a long time, or if you disturb them they can close for a wile... but generally if they arent opening something is wrong, either to high of flow, or to much light.
