Ive had breeding pairs in the past but those are long gone and i think ill have a nice looking pair out of this group when the time comes. Both of the males in this group are very nice, the F1 has alot of red in his face and gill plate, im really excited to see how those two turn out for comparison. and i have two females that i think when fully mature will be almost 100% red not as much yellow and orange but time will tell

hows your new pair doing?? may try to up the water changes for a couple of weeks and see if that sparks anything
man the red on those is rediculous! congrats and keep up the good work! hopefully they breed so everyone else gets a shot at their genetics

Beautiful fish Jason! With all the Festae posts lately I'm starting to think MFK stands for Mostly Festae Keepers......lol. Not that long ago nobody could find one now we're tripping over them. Anyway, still one of the most beautiful cichlids around their popularity is deservied.

Thank you Tom. And thats too funny MFK... You are correct, festae have been far and few between untill this last year. I do know a few of us that had festae agreed on trying to get festae back into the hobby and it looks like their numbers are increasing

Jason, great fish and great job with them... makes me want to get a female now to breed with my male... if I could only be 100% it would work with the Midas and Red Isletas and Argentea... man, I really want a female bad...
