"Gar" and "Spot".. Gar we've had since he was about 6-7" this past year. and Spot was a pick-up at a LFS about 2 monthes ago now iir. Spot is abit bulkier and overall I'm guessing abit older then Gar.

between the gar, pikes, and fire eels in the tank it is our "show tank" if you'de call your favorite tank such. Thank you for the kind words.. they all get HIkari, NLS, frozen krill, nightcrawlers, and feeders ( which despite my best efforts the pikes will literally throw up pellets to cram them down, so less is more now). I feed the tank at least 1x a day.. but usually the pikes get 2-3 meals for begging. up to 50% WCs 2x a week to keep the bio-load controlled.. really can't wait to get a bigger tank in here.

This sounds silly but, for the first time last week I saw my first gar in person.. he/she was about 1' had darks spots and from a amature guess .. it was a florida.. previous to this sight, I had no interest in keeping.. but when I saw the movements that it makes while swimming.. eating... I was indulged...When I see pictures ... they almost look stiff.. but I was completely wrong.. I believe sometime in the future I will be a gar owner..
