My female hystrix has settled in nicely. Here are some current pictures. Notice the face in the top view! lol I also might get some retic/hystrix hybrids out of this adventure. My male retic is all over her! LOL

If I end up with hybrids I am going to keep the first batch to see how the evolve as they mature. I do also have a male hystrix so I could have some pure hystrix. Only time will tell.

I've always been fascinated by these smaller rays. They seem like the ideal overall ray. Moderate in size, very hardy and personable. Great looks.

Thank you! I really like these rays myself. I have been after the original owner of them for over a year to sell them to me.
I just got them so I have not had the opportunity yet to learn their litters or gestation period yet. From what I understand though she was pregnant once but had stillborn pups. Not sure how many. Hopefully under my care she will get pregnant again. Only thing is there is a male retic in the tank with her as well as a hystrix male. The retic has shown serious interest in her. So has the male hystrix. So the possibility of having hybrids is real.
I'll keep everyone updated on their progress.
