thanks guys, brian you wanna take a stab at id? theyre eating feeders mainly but are slowly understanding its okay to eat silversides too, and aquafreak i really dont know ph but id say in the mid 7's ?
Jey,
Who did you get them from, and where were you told they were from?
At first glace, they look like a mono. The red eyes make me wonder though. Perhaps nigromaculata is a reasonable assumption, too...but I need to know answers to those two questions before I get serious about it.

got them from eczs-1 as wild peru monos he really wouldnt go into details though {edit} just checked past p.m.'s and he said they were collected from nanay river

^^ this fish looks like a wild mono to me....

if the ones you have now had spanglings on their body, i would say they are they are sp. madeira but they are lacking an important characteristic.... i say you have some wild monos ;)

Yeah I think they are probably monos. I have seen plenty with the fourth bar...more like a blotch.

whatever they are, they look awesome :D
