Moved to natives.

That water looks really hazy, what do you have for filtration?

For now a 60 gallon aqua tech filter from walmart.

Never trust anything from a Petsmart employee without researching their claim. They often don't know what they're talking about. Some do, but they're a minority.

The one who told you that Columbian sharks can live in pure fresh lied to you. Read this:
Very similar to South American Pimelodids, keep with fish that like similar water conditions and are big enough to prevent being considered prey. Youngsters (smaller than 12cm) can be kept in alkaline fresh water (with for example rift lake cichlids), but larger fish MUST have salt added to the water in order to thrive.

As for the filtration, I would recommend investing in a good HOB such as an Aqua Clear 110 or a canister filter like an API XP4 or Fluval FX5. You will notice a major change in your water clarity and the health of your fish. :)

This may sound dumb and please dont attack me but since i have a 60aquatech filter can i just get another one and use both?By using both will it be just as effecient? Again please dont bash me..
Thank you lol

The problem with the aquatechs, as I own one myself, is they are good with mechanical filtration but lack in space for biological filtration which is the foundation for keeping large fish. It seems to me that one ac70 has about the space of two aquatech 60s. As a money conscientious fish keeper myself go on amazon and get an ac 70 to add to your tank. Use the sponge it comes with, Biomax and add some scrubbies and filter floss.

I'm not bashing you. You clearly lack knowledge and I'm trying to help.

Yes, if you get more filters you can add them to what you have. I still have an Aquatech 60 hanging on the back of my tank in addition to all of the high speed, high tech crap I've since bought. I'm using the Aquatech 60 to house a pothos colony (plants that eat up nitrates and help keep that tank healthy).

When I had my 55 tank, I had an AC110, two Aquatech 60s and a Marineland 20. There's nothing wrong with adding multiple filters.
