Update on my monster silver

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
can't wait to see him in his new tank, I like the overflows.

How long did it take for you to completely cure your silver? I had a really bad case a while back and it took almost 21 days of water changes every day and treatment. Then again my mother in law let it get so bad that I lost almost all my fish while I was away.

the treatment was for about two weeks ,then i kept salt and water changes , the healing process still going ,it has been like 2-3 month now,

hopefully ill get the new tank up and running in two weeks i'll update with pictures.

BTW i need some MFK logos for it

Very impressive recovery, carajito. I have seen the other thread (the fins were almost gone completely!) - very informative. I guess you went with Koji's advice and not the potasium solution (sounded very interesting too - though somewhat risky imo).

So, this means that the whole problem was due to bad water and not infection? or both? you practice of adding water then dechlorinator sounded a bit ... unorthodox ...

yes i went with koji's advise and it was an infection due to stress caused by my noobness at the time, the water param were always good , these day i prepare the water 2 days in advance before doing a water change.

i realized that the source of these kinds of infections if you have good parameters is due to stress , they scare to easy when joung

congrats. always good to hear a good recovery. good job bro.
