Update on my piggy snapper

very cool. i love snappers.
 
he looks good kevin. lol they do eat alot. mine enjoys chasing small fish. but since he was raised in captivity from a hatchling, he had to learn to hunt. he used to just stick his head out as far as he could and then run after stuff. now hes learned to use his neck to reach out and nab his food.
 
Cool monster. How is the maintenance on a snapper?

50% water changes weekly like fish? What filters do you use?
 
I actually only use a ten gallon whisper right now since there is really not a large volume of water in the tank. i still water change every 3-4 days. super easy in this set I have him in.

Thanks bud. Yeah he is the same way. He lived with a breeding colony of guppies and never ate a one. I kept his tank bumped up against the breeding tank and all he doe is watch them all day long hahaha. Now when i drop one in BANG! gone in a second.
