Update On My RBP With Pics!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
measure the drift wood, then look at the picture. You will get an idea of how big they are.

I taped a tape measure to the bottom of the tank to measure mine :)

no i had bad luck with plants last time....they all died...i had my whole 29gallon fully planted...sad

what kind of plants did you have? In my rbp tank I used real hardy plants, like swords, water sprite, and anubias. They're doing great, and i havent had to add any nutrients or co2, and the rbps havent damaged them much except for a little water sprite and that grows back so fast it doesnt matter. Maybe its a left over trait from my reef keeping days, but i think its important to incorporate as many different parts of a natural eco system as possible. The options are pretty limited with piranha, but adding even a few hardy plants and some driftwood will help lower ph, oxygenate the water, help eliminate nitrates, provide surface area for beneficial bacteria, provide cover for your fish, and enhance the appearance of the tank. You might need to change you're light bulb to a 6700k or 10000k (i prefer 6700k), but the cost of a bulb is def. worth the benefits.

Your tank and fish look amazing. The deco you used really highlights the beauty of your rbps
