I was wondering if i would have problems keeping silvers and gars.

yes i do have a gar with them its about 9" the aro dont bother the gar alongs it at a good size.

Why don't y'all just enjoy the fish, and let him worry about tank size? ;) Haven't you noticed there are plenty big tank for sale at decent price in his area? Worst case, he just give them up, and there are many folks with pond that can house them, or fish that's big enough to feed them to... :eek:
