you gotta love cali ..your solution.. give me your cichla and set up an african cichlid tank..lol but honestly maybe time to invest in a rodi or a pre-fill tub or canster that you can dose prior to water changes if you want to get really technical.

:ROFL:on a serious note ... if you were closer... yo would probably get a good lump some of them... seriously...:naughty:
i was thinking about getting an RO dispenser.... but its a long ways to my nearest fossit:nilly:... im a very neaty person... i hate wires and tubes layin around.... its up in the air for now..... :D

understandable.. i hate wires, do you use a phyton when doing a water change? im pretty sure you could hook up rodis under any fawcett , bathroom, kitchen sink or basement water plumping. worse comes to worse, use a rubber made tub in a basement area, run a powerhead so that the water doesnt fowl, and get a decent size pump so that you can transfor you rodi water from the rubber made to your main tank using a clear plastic hose.....all in all your rodi setup just became a bit more costly lol but it works... i cant say that i dislike the easy coast but i love cali, wish i was close so i could have over stocked tanks ;) plus west cost always gets nicer fish besides the ones you import yourself :)

i have one of them aswell ..Was just wild collected in the Rio Ventuari, Vz last year ......Mine is about 8-10''..eats like a pigs........we probally have the same batch..Very cool..

mines about 14inches now... he was 6-7inches when i got him.. in a span of 6-8months, 7inches was his growth spurt.... and yes/they are porkers... eats from top to bottom... any pics of yours?:D
 
mjuniorc.....now thats a bad *** tem....i've had my tems for about 2 weeks and they are about 4" no colors yet or spot yet...but boy i can't wait, but they are farm boys i think so unsure of how colors gonna come
