update on reef tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There is no reason people cant get into the reef game easily.

All you need to do is keep up on h2o changes, and get some nice lights. :D

Im out of the frag game for awhile, completing one last order on this website, and then I am done till I get the 125g fully stocked.

My corals are cheap cheap cheap though. Usually works out to about $5 a frag with shipping even if you buy enough.

there he goes again! you sound like a used car salesman :ROFL:jk
i am ordering some when i move my tank. you better save me an order!
but honestly its just as easy to have a reef tank as it is a pred tank. all i do is top off and have culerpa in my sump to handle nitrates and have really good lights. once its set up right its easy! i only do water changes every 2 months or so.
i know i know its not recomomnded but it works for me

thanks guys! any suggestions are welcome

Thanks for sharing. This is going to be my spring project. Showing your before and after pics is inspiring.

I would try to do water changes more frequently even if you don't think your nitrates are getting high. The new water has benefits that we can't even test, let alone the elements it replenishes. Your fish will be healthier for it. Frequent water changes are a good habit to get into and will definitely be helpful when you get into the reef game. The corals will require new water because they use elements up much faster than rock and fish do.
