cut your pothos... the original root system in them in dirt will almost always die back...I found growing them from cuttings and putting them into my tanks works best... I keep a plant around in dirt... since they are easy to keep, and help with teh air ect.. and just keep cutting it back as needed and adding the clippings to my tanks. I found the cuttings do best if they have something to anchor too ( i have some doing really well attached to an old replacement cartridge from one of my HOB filters, but they would prolly do really well if anchored to driftwood or porus rocks ect.)

I cut the roots initally after I got them free but too much of the root system broke off and I guess the plant couldn't handle the stress. I have maybe 4 to 5 lonely pieces that have survived. They are ancored behind a eheim spray bar. I will definately got with smaller pothos initially because my first batch was eazy to clean but like a fool I left it semi submerged with hope that it would grow out of the water. I did but not fast enough. All the half dead pothos has been put into a pot with dirt to try and save em.

More pothos and anubias on the driftwood and ill be a happy camper till the bigger tank. Thanks for the "love" everyone
