Frys are going great! My pair come in on Aug 2. Getting everything prepared for them. I'm going to need some pointers once they begin breeding.

Certainly!!!!! I sure don't have any problems with breeding around here!!!! In the tanks that is!!!!!!! Batch #5 is wiggling now!!!!!

ok here is my biggest one, he is about 2.5", very nice pearling, not any fading yet.
(ignore the poop, i just moved a pleco last night cause the tank had a lot of algea, and well i guess the pleco was very busy last night. I did get the poop out though)

Your likely to only end up with Green Texas fry as its the dominate gene here, but either way, nice going, your RT is gorgeous.

Whats the dominate gene you are speaking of?

Alot of CA Cichlid fry look the same. Mothers natures way of letting them blend in better for a better survival rate. Just because your Carpintis fry looks similiar to these doesnt mean they will look anything alike. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Thanks, ya he is. i can get some more tonight of the smaller guys, some actually have more color in their gill plate than this guy. That guy right there is the one with big pearls you gave me. Everyone is turning out amazing looking.

ok here are some more pictures, these are my smallest guys ~1.5", they have more color than the bigger guys. sorry about the bad pictures, they don't sit still.
