Update

I have had some problems with my Aethiopicus for a while.
I think the filter (eheim pro 3 Thermo) just could not cope with the waste of my Aethiopicus.
He had a lot of loose skin and stopped eating .
I replaced the filter a month ago. Here are some pics of the new filter.
It is running o.k. now and my Aethiopicus started eating again. and is almost back to his old self.
I will sertainly recouldment this filter to all lungfish keepers.
It had a screen with small holes and it traps all the crap on top, and each 30 minutes it cleans it's self. It works great.
The filter was actually for the new polyster tank but i decited to hook it up to the current tank.

My Protopterus Dolloi 44 inch (slender lungfish) almost at it's wild max just 4 inch to go till it reaches 4 ft.
got it as a baby just over 3 years ago.

My Protopterus Aethiopicus Aethiopicus.
Got it aprox 1,5 year ago.
still recovering a bit. also at 44 inch but still a long way to go to it's wild max.
glass is a bit dirty but I try to leave it allone as much as possible. and limmit my activity's to refreshing water and feeding.

at the moment not to much.
My dolloi almost died because of stray voltage from my Eheim Filter. (still on the edge of live and death)
And my Aethiopicus is growing out of it's tank. and is solely on saki hikari right now. As soon as it will go in to his new tank I will go back to his normal diet.
He used to eat a veriety of shrimp, sprot, tiliapia, pangasius and hikari algaewafers.
