Love the Orino for sure the one with the distorted peacock eye very nice and is that one of those awsome bumblebee Oscar???

Very nice! I really like those Orinos. Man, those Monos are looking fat and healthy. You'll put some weight on those guys in no time. Interesting "paste" you make for those guys. Does it get real messy in the water, or does it stay in tact pretty well when you drop it in?

the orinos are night and day different in pattern i think based on behavior that the smaller one with an allmost solid horizontal bar is a female geuss il find out when i vent them they act like they are married
the oscars came from a local store i saw them and didnt even ask but i only grabbed one it mopped all night 7 monos 5 clown loaches he was bored so i grabbed him a couple buddies i didnt buy them under any pretense other then they were vibrant red brighter then ive ever seen
i have another piece of that malasian dw that hasnt been in water yet i liked the shape of it in the pic its sitting in an 72" x 18" x 18" 100 gallon it didnt quite fit but it will in the big tank

That food wasnt designed to stay together hence the clown loaches i wanted a food that exploded as it melted so the fish would hunt it down and use some of there natural instincts they appear bored when i just drop in pellets or bloodworms with that food they are all over the place chasing tiny little pieces down as they grow i will grind it less and less make the pieces larger im trying to keep them on pellets without them just sitting around im also going to put a high powered air pump in there tank they have one now but its not near as mush increased aeration as id like to be using i want active fish

6 out of 7 monos were belly up tonight when i got home after pulling my flagtail from another tank dead last night its been a sorry couple of days i put the monos .oscars .and loaches and a couple catfish i had in the 100 gallon tank everything else was fine but 5 monoslaying there dead and one that was allmost dead i moved the last two strugglers into another tank one went belly up after an hour all the parameters checked out fine temp is stable at 85and there are two added air stones wtf ? i can only assume the bioload wasnt high enough to carry the bio mass i added last night and i tried a new product nutrafin cycle allong with a bunch of dirty filters and water the tank has been cycled for years but sitting dry for a while
That sucks bro. Did you acclimate them to the new tank properly? Either that or the new tank wasn't cycled properly.

what parameters did you measure and check? ammonia? nitrite? nitrate?
what i mean was this tank was previously used by a friend of mine for many years i quick cycled it like i do every other tank i have never had problem one with api stress zyme and stress coat which i have used to quick cycle every tank i have for the last ten years er so i even reused the gravel from my orino tank but double the amount of water volume i just got anxious and overloaded the bioload too many fish too quickly sucks im out a few hundred but im more concerned about a friend in slc that i was growing out a couple monos for i gotta hook him up and then ill be over it i hate to see it happen but i cant change it now
all three were perfect previous to catastrophe the ammonia was spiked 1 and a half points but dead fish generally do that when they stew in an 85 gallon tank all day i even checked gh it was normal also lolado124;5049534; said:
