have any of u guys took a mirror and place it in front of ur reddevil.Mine just flares up and strikes the glass......o my god she has amazingly,sharp teeth.They are really needle like.I placed my 8 inch rd in a 37 till christmas when i get my 55.the previous fish in the 37 was a 9 inch buttikoferi which i put in the 75(where my rd was)becuase i felt it needed more space.Do u think my rd will stunt before i get my 55 gallon up in running.I am excited because the filters are going to be all canisters.I have one more question?how big max do u think my female will get in the 55.

10-11 max. I had mine in a 60 with a 11inch oscar. Noob mistake. She grew to bout 9inches and then started to slow down. She is in a 100 with the same oscar and a female dovii and she is still growing

no the red devil will be fine in the 37 till u get the 55 mine was in a 20 gallon for about a year until i got my 55....so u should be fine a smaller tank doesnt really stunt growth it may slow it down a little..but wat makes a fish grow is proper nutrition and healthy water quality which makes the cells reproduce faster which then the fish will grow..

In a year a RD should be 10" already... It is not healthy to keep it in too small of a tank.

anything under 40 gallons, and not for life. 75g for a full adult

I was actually just noting that Dovii88's advice was false, a rd in a 20 for a year will have some health problems.

It will not stunt till christmas, considering christmas is 5 days away, but keep the water clean.

And if its a male RD, a 55 wont be good for more than a year or so.
