Bass are growing well and colouring up, we're sold as 3 mono and 2 pinima but I think they're mono and tems. Tiled the bottom of the tank too, makes keeping it clean so much easier!

At this size what tells you that they're azul and not temensis? I'm useless when it comes to the I.D of young cichla. When does the blue start to appear? Just now there's no blue at all, just the red on the fins.
I have grown out quite a few different azuls.
The head shape and face speckles say azul.
Temensis don't get the same time of speckles all over their entire body and face as juvi's like these.
You sure? I'm not seeing the little bars yet in between the big ones yet. Like in this pic where these were 4inches.
