Anybody have any idea when the blue and extra bars will appear if they're piquiti?

Give it time. The bars may appear a bit later. You never know. All bass are different. COuld be 6" or it could be 10". And the blue doesn't get really intense until they are adults. Once again, they are azuls and not temensis.

I'll take your word for it because I have no clue, I'm actually happy that they're azul rather than temensis. Will have to have a word with the person who got them though as they were originally sold to me as pinima.

They look great! What type of lightship are you running?

Azul. No doubts here. Look at the spangles. NOw go look up a tem about the same size. All the spangles or spots on the tem are a lot less random. They line up along the more defined lateral line on a temensis. The fish pictured has spots that are all over the whole body. It also has the more bulky head shape and cheek markings of an azul. And the 3 bars are more pointed rather than straight and blocky.
