Nice looking. Mine is about 13-14" but what I noticed was that he seemed to thicken up faster and get more intense color after I started feeding him more live (goldfish). After also live is there natural diet.

Yeah I'm starting to feed live a bit more and it is helping thanks for the info though. Post some pics of ur dovii. It's always interesting to see other peoples dovii.

How long can i honestly get away with having a dovii in a 90 gallon?

2yrs?

I would say depending if its a male or female. Male wouldnt last too long in that size of tank. I would say 2 years is pushing it. A female would last a bit longer but not 2 years. Ive had mine for 7 months or so and my male is getting close to 12 inches. How big is the Dovii and whats the gender of your dovii?

Wow i cant believe they grow that fast. I was hoping to keep him there till he was 13''s or so then purchase a bigger tank.
I dont have the dovii yet, im waiting for my tank to be manufactured.

Well my pair have been in a 150 gallon tank since they were 3 inches big so they have had alot of room to grow and are growing rapidly. I will have to sooner or later upgrade to an 8 footer for them to live in in a year or so. You should be good with a 90 gallon for a year or so depending on how big your dovii is when you purchase him. Good luck they are an awesome speciman

I love Dovii. I almost pulled the trigger on one, but found some great Nandopsis haitiensis juvis and went with them.
