What I think would look better though...is if you put a backing on that tank...maybe a dark backing?

And then throw some really nice quality lights on it...it would add to the tank IMO and really display the fish nicely.

Thanks everyone. I will be adding lights very soon and the pics will be much better. So far, everyone is getting along perfect. Except for the Lince cat ate my odoe pike.

I was just wondering about good lights for big tanks. What would you consider good quality lighting for a tank this big. Most big tanks I have seen just use shop lights.

I will probably just use a 8- 10 foot shop flourescent light. I am not going to spend a bunch of money on lighting as it's in my garage and the fish prefer low lighting vs bright lighting. I have windows in my garage door, so the fish get quite a bit of light coming through during the day.
