awesome pikes man love em still no aggression issues ?

No aggro issues and am really not expecting any. It is a 125, pikes range between 9.5 and 11 inches. They are housed with several Viejas 6-8", 7 SDs, 1-8" A. Nourisatti and a couple of others. Planning a 300 this summer where all inhabitants will transfer to it with some others that I am growing out in another setup.

Thanks

Thanks everyone, I am jacked about them also especially the Trombeta, Ive told the story before with her. I had a chance to get quite a few of them and being the idiot I am, well you can figure the rest out......:(
First rule of piking.... Always purchase at least a small group.

I am also getting pumped over the Tapajos, as you can see they are developing red in the caudal area and around the operculum, so I am hoping that they turn out to be the more colorful variant.:)

Almost got rid of the Jo and the X1, glad I didn't. X1 is kind of knucklehead
but I have gotten attached to her. Thought it was a male until about 5 weeks ago.

Hey Jer, Hopefully by the time you come up this way, I'll have my new fishroom setup. The oldest boy moved out (YeahYa) so I am now taking over his room in the basement (20' x 15'). All mine and me fishies:D

Also, I always like to throw in a group pic to show it can be done. :)

I just set up a 185 and I could not decide who to move from their 70s to the big tank so I ended up moving in my female Jo, my 3 X1s and the 3 probable Lucius along with my Bichirs, Silver $s and Uraus. So far no heavy pike on pike aggression. I did add about 10 or so 1 foot long pieces of 3 inch pvc pipe. The Jo has moved into one and will chase away anyone that gets near.

I have raised all but the Jo in 2 different 70s with lots of tank mates of appropiate size. The X1s are like puppies waggin their tails when they see me (they just want food I know but I can call it fishy love:) )

I am also setting up my formal fish room since my ex finally got her stuff out and my Daughter moved on as well.

Ha, I love it when you get more room to play with!!

Sounds like a great tank man!! You'll have to start another thread and show us some pictures of how its working out! :D

SS ~ Really nice community tank! Congrats on keeping 3 different Pikes together - I like the Trombetas marm best. Maybe the mix works because NO MALES! , and the other cichlid tankmates.... Thx for the pics showing it can be done, let us know how they all do in a larger tank.
