Hey madding it looks like those cats are crosses as my large one really grew fast and the colors changed drasticall;. ( How is yours doing ?)
 
Good, mine is growing fast too, definitely put on 2 or 3 inches since I got it. It's the smallest fish in my 150 but nobody messes with it, he's a feisty little guy, not afraid to chase fish 3x his size away. One of my favorites, thanks again!
