Just to cover the several questions that have been sent my way regarding the Croc gar:
It is the presumed type 1.. Atractosteus spatula X Lepisosteus platostomus (Called type 1 by us at Primitivefish.com) It is not a Type 2... A. spatula X L. oculatus / platyrhinchus... there is only one Type 2 of these in known existence at this time...
Adult size is unknown... this fish is among the larger of those currently known and documented in any collection. The fish was created in 2003 there is no data before this so there is no information. There is no use in asking it's potential size as there is no precedent.
Damn cool fish and a very rare fish... Buy it if your serious and if you buy it keep in the loop..
