looks very good

Thanks guys
I'd like to get some feedback on this, do you think that i'll be able to add one more ropefish and an albino senegal? I've never had any sort of polypterus before so I don't know what to expect in terms of size but I know that the albinos are smaller and I know that ropefish tend to be more comfortable in small groups. I'm either looking for that or some sort of colorful mid-top water fish that like to school. The only thing is that i think i'm stocked for now.

the name escapes me now but I have this black substrate called eco zyme or something similiar which would be perfect for your setup. It comes in black or brick red and it is for plants and geophagus sifters. It is kinda of expensive but looks really good. Also has minerals for plants better than sand. Maybe someone will chime in with the correct name. great looking tank by the way!

Ecco complete is what I've used. Really good stuff. I use the african cichlid version which is more salt and pepper colored mixed with pfs in my mbuna setup. I think black would look great in your setup
Tank looks awesome overall though!. The only thing I would change is maybe finding a way to hide the heaters behind some of the wood. I just don't like seeing anything mechanical in my setups, but thats just me. Nice job!

I'll definitely be posting pictures once i get the darker gravel. Now that I look at the pics i see that they didn't come out too well so I want to take a few more.

Nice looking tank! obviously pics don't do justice for tanks with light gravel. But I am sure it is even better in person. I too, have a tank with light substrate.I often thought about switching to darker gravel. but I will leave it like it is. I'll just wait for my annual outbreak of MTS and do one with black sand in the future. Can't really advise you as far as stocking options. Just wanted to say that your tank is beautifull as is.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys. Here is an updated video of me feeding my fish with better lighting so hopefully it'll be easier to see. Unfortunately my filter is a little loud as you can hear.

Actually I've been thinking of getting some colorful mid-high water fish to make the tank look fuller. Preferably one single medium sized fish but any fish in general would be cool. Would like some suggestions please.

I love your set up, looks really natural and scenic. however I´m not sure if its the angle, but that knifefish looks like it has a totally different shape to the african knife, which I kept a few years ago.
any chance you could get a better picture? I´m telling you these guys make the best pets, mine would argue with my cichlids at feeding time, he was out all day long. he was a knife fish in Denial. great guys to keep!
