Had to look again. I really like this setup, it's giving me some ideas.

Great tank. How long did it take to get your EBJDs to that size or did you buy larger ones? Mine is taking forever to grow.

Thanks. I picked up these two this past Saturday from one of the guys on the EBJD forum I frequent (http://bluejax.14.forumer.com/). He bought them in March of 2007 at about 1" from Hollywood on Aquabid. I have another two I purchase from my LFS in May of 2007 at 1 1/2" and they're a little over 4" now.

Best thing you could do for your EBJD is keep him stress free, add a UV sterilizer, do frequent water changes (I do mine every 4th day) and a high quality diet (I use NLS w/Thera+A). I used tiger barbs as dithers for my EBJD's and they worked great. They were in my 72g also until the Green Terror saved me the trouble of catching them :)

Feel free to post some pics of your EBJD here, I'd love to check him out.

bluejax, great forum! I love ebjd's and yours look great! How do you manage keeping those types of plants with such aggressive cichlids. I've only been able to keep java fern, lily pads, and large swords with my monsters...

Hey man, thanks. I have the ones in the sand weighted down with those lead straps they give you. Not perfect but effective. I have found them floating on top a couple of times when I got home from work. The only fish that digs in there is the GT. He's a freakin bull dozer  I've got an idea now where he likes to dig so I have the plants positioned accordingly.

Looks fantastic bro. I'm inspired to do something new with my tanks!
