Updated tank pictures.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks everyone.

The new lights are two 36" Coralife F/W T-5 Aqualight double strip lights. I am still using the two 36" all glass flourescent lights as well. The new light strips are 2x22w t5's. The flourescent lights are 1x25 watt. The tank is just bright enough without being too bright for the fish.

The full tank pictures were taken with no flash. Most of the individual fish shots were with flash.

Hey, what kind of fish is the one in the seventh pic down, i saw a group at a petstore once and nearly bought em and have never found out what they are and have been looking for more ever since.

Awesome tank and cichlids by the way, congrats.

I really like your selection of stone and gravel, the different gradations and color blend looks like a very natural setting. Great effect!

Thanks everyone!

musichead707 - The fish in the seventh picture is an Amphilophus Hogaboomurus (F1) from Rapps.

Spitfire - I got the driftwood from Aquabid off of a member named jackster.

macktab - Thanks. I was wanting a natural look. I am very happy with it with the exception of the fake plants and the pump for my UV sterilizer. But as far as that goes I'm more worried about them being healthy than I am about the minimal eye sore.

Oh, thought it may be nice to post a stock list.

Amphilophus Lyonsi
Amphilophus Hogaboomurus (F1)
Tiger Striped Freddy
Red Terror (wild female)
Neets (wild pair)
Black Belt (F1)
Paratilapia Bleekeri (large spot)
Cryptoheros Cutteri (trio, 2 females, 1 male)
Silver Dollars (4 so far)
Common Pleco (about 15")

Everything except for the Pleco and Silver Dollars are from Jeff Rapps.

Thanks a lot. Didn't knew about this website "aquabid". You saved me a great deal of searching.

im not great on the species you keep, but which is the third pic down?

I think thats the Paratilapia Bleekeri.

I love your tank and choice of fish. Nice setup.

Thanks guys.

Oh, and yeah the fish in the third picture is a Bleekeri (large spot). Unfortunately the colors washed out in the picture, most of the spots are actually blue.
