Updates from the 300

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Last night I added frozen krill and tilapia and it did not eat yet. It seems to be a really calm fish and has not been spooked when I come into the garage where the qt tank is located. I really like to have the fish eat before I start in on my parasite meds but I might just start in today and see how it acts.

Yeah, Ive seen them in a store before I was into polys and thought how boring looking they were. But once they settle in they do look good. I think of them as the poor mans PBB, lol.

I do wonder if mine will go haywire with patterns like yours. Have yours changed any or still wierd patterns?
Mines changed alot its way lighter now, no more nice brown base with green pattern, i think once they reach certain size they start to become lighter green, ive seen Hao, FishNCash and the once in the sticky, they all light green almost faded color, mine became like that.

I dont mind the light color so much, just would like some pattern to show. It seems like the Nigeran laps also tend to get large from what Ive seen. I was wanting some of these guys to get bigger. Seem like the endli is growing super slow if not done at 18" the weeksii is ultra slow and all the others seem to have slowed once they hit the 15" mark. I was hoping to get 20"+ out of a couple of these guys...

Maybe just slowed down allot. Inwoukd think croc coumd reach 20 at some point. Still a great poly

Before it changed several hands. My 18.75" Ansorgii was picked up at 15" 3 years ago. They seem to grow painstaking slow after breaking the 17/18" barrier. From this point on- they just get fat!

Ex. My Faranah Dabola was about 17"-18" 2 years ago and now she's 20"

That cool to know. My largest poly was the dabola endli that got rehomed and it was pushing 17. So its good to know not to expect quick or steady growth at the larger sizess

My polys have stopped power feeding so they will slow down for sure. The first six months with that endli had me thinking I was going to get broke feeding it.
