Updates from the 300

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great looking Nigerian and most definitely a male!

Yeah it tried to have fun with my big girl Croc (Dabola endli), she was actually trying to swim away from him and he would pursue. Finally she just realized he was smaller and nipped at him. He has backed off her since then. I had to laugh that the fish was only in the tank for an hour and it wanted to get freaky already. So I take that as a sign of it being happy in the new tank,

I hope it shows up clear and does not fade out. Its hard to tell from the pics but it really darkened up today. Im hoping in a couple weeks it will really settle in and show some patterns. As much as complain that the koliba is plain, it does show a very nice pattern, the Faranah is just outstanding and hopefully the Nigerian shows well too. Never thought I would end up with so many lap.

I have to say the little guy is pretty hyper and pops out front a lot. Totally fit right into the mix with no issues. Super happy about that. Was worried and had left the qt tank up just in case. Looks like I can take it down now.

Nice update and I just love your names. Your weeksii is an endearing little fish.

That shot of porkchop from the front is awesome!
Thanks, they pretty much live up to their names in some way.... but still have not come up with a solid name I like for the Koliba lap.

I think you would like having a weeksii. They have that same mannerism of the moke where they have almost a slow but deliberate way about them. Hard to explain it but lots of other bichir have come and gone but the weeksii still is there. If I had to downsize I think I would find a way to keep Porkchop and the weeksii
