Looking for a stock change... my pearsei aged out and passed today. She was at least 9 years old, likely closer tp 9 1/2 to 10 yrs old. When I got her she was already about 4 1/2”. She measured out at 16”.
.

Sorry to hear that. She was a stunning fish.

I have a buddy with a couple amphilophus that I will look into. I do miss my old midas so maybe something in the amph family will be a winner

So my current stock is the 3 bala sharks and 5 polys. 1 each, endli, ansorgii, koliba lap, Faranah lap, weeksii

So what now? Another cichlid? Maybe a dat?
No..... Hulk and now Porkchop. :( They are in fish heaven together. I'm very sorry for your loss. Glad she had a wonderful 10 years with you! She definitely knew she was the ham of the tank.

Just got the three amphilophus hogaboomorum from my buddy. They went at each other in the bucket ride over from his house. A bit beat up but settled in and exploring. Still show some schooling behavior at their mid sized range of 6 to 7 inches. Will likely let them settle and keep the dominant male. Will post some pics when they settle in a bit.

Picture of dominate fish believed to be the male.
Only been in the tank about an hour and a half and coloring up nicely.

The hoga in my area were more toward yellow in coloration. These would be fish like 'Hulk' raised by YouTuber Chichlidman09. The ones I got apparently originated from a batch back east and shows a ton of red. Anyway looking forward to seeing how these guys turn out.
