Updates on Asian Forest Scorplings (Heterometrus sp.)

I tried to feed the mother scorpion, and guess what~~~~ ~~~ :D

The scorpling makes the worm looks like some tasty corn. :ROFL:

I have separated out half of the scorplings population few days ago and house them in a tupperware. The rest shall remain under the care of the mother.

I tried initial feeding of small mealworms to those in the tupperware and they are seriously more ravenous than other siblings which are under the mother's care.

One of my interesting observations of the scorplings during feeding:

Despite the size of the mealworm, it will grab the prey, sting & paralyze it before consuming. However, other scorplings will come around and vie for the same prey, so you can see a scorpling grabbing its grey and running around the whole base(to escape from food competition). :ROFL:

When I started to drop in more mealworms, some of them will grab the same grey and tore it into pieces among themselves. :eek:
