farm bred cichla are a mungrel mix of monoc and ocellaris...and even a few tem genes mixed in some...so to answer your question on your bass...asian monocollaris aka farmboys(that is where the term farmboy arose in cichla as these are the common mixed gene cichla produced out of asian fish farms...also there is a variety that came though years ago refered to as temocs..aka temensis x monoculus farmed cichla)
